Chapter 12: Cycling to Newgrange
Newgrange and Knowth are the greatest stars of all the stars along the Boyne. I am, therefore, pleased to include as a sample the chapter dealing with my visit to Newgrange, including the cycle from Slane with accounts of Francis Ledwidge, Rossnaree and Áth na Bóinne, the ford of legend and history. The chapter concludes with a description of remarkable recent discoveries in the flood plain below the great tumulus.
